Motherhood: available morning, noon and night, supporting and empowering others. She is there in good times and bad.Motherhood shows us a glimpse of the heart of the Father, and as we lead into Easter in the next few weeks let us open the flood gates of His heart as we meditate on the sacrifice He made and His reckless love. “I will comfort you there. as a little one is comforted by it’s mother."
The hours a mother will spend with her child will leave a lasting influence on their life – this is a heavy responsibility and an awesome assignment. You’re the precious gift from God she longed for and loved from before your birth.
Proverbs 6 v20-23 My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you. For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life.
The birth of Christ set Motherhood on a higher plane. Helpless we come into the world, dependant on our mothers. The sacrifices she made were pure love. God specially designed women to conceive, bear and nurture children and has anointed them for the task ahead. Yet, we feel far from majestic and precious when knee deep in washing, a messy house, making dinner and looking for the other sock. Your mother is a child of God and does all she can for you through Christ who gives her strength. Your blessing is a Godly mother leaning on the Heavenly father to help raise you.
God to the rescue! After several attempts to save us from ourselves, God stepped down into humanity to do the job Himself. John 3 v16. He felt our pain, knew our sorrows, faced all our temptations even had the opportunity to follow selfish ambitions. He did it all for His love for us. He did it so He could show us love.
Jesus said it is easy to die for a righteous man but who would die for the unrighteous, guilty man. This is God’s love for us. "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you." Jer 31 v3. "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God" 1 John 3 v1.
WOW!!!! God’s love is expressed throughout the bible. It is easy to read about His love and yet not feel or know it.
I pray today that you will know His love in your life that your joy might be full in Jesus name.
You are my eternal love, You knew me before I was formed. You are my first love, You were there for my birth. You are my enduring love, You go with me beyond this world. You are my everlasting love, I will be with You forever.
You are my beginning, my present, my future, my strength, my rock, my heart, my sunshine, my covering, my deliverer, my shelter, my dream, my courage, my great reward, my abode, my way maker, my promise keeper, my song, my love and my life. You are truly everything to me.
You love me so much You made me to look like You. You love me so much You placed Your Spirit in me. You love me so much You show me how to be like You. You love me so much You took my place in death.
You love me so much You granted me pardon for my stupidity, foolishness, ignorance, stubbornness, wickedness and sinfulness.
Your love is so awesome my King. You are love itself. You are the bread of life, the living water and the breath of life; tell me anyone how to exist without my Love.
You are my King, my Love and my life.
You are unrivalled, sweet, beautiful, excellent, awesome, incredible, indescribable, and exceptional.
Did you write your valentine message for the greatest Love ever?.
John 15 v 9-17 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love…This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you..
Jesus stated that He has loved us just as GOD has loved him. How amazing! Wait a minute, Jesus loves us as much as God the Father has loved him? wow! Pause and ponder on this! Do you get it? Awesome!!
This month a lot of people will be celebrating love with their loved ones. I want to remind the church who our husband is – the Lord Jesus. The Bible tells us that he will be coming back for His bride. GOD has expressed His love for us in so many ways. God also instructs earthly husbands to follow His example in saying "for husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her".
So the Lord is our husband. I am aware that this is a strange concept for men to comprehend, but as part of the church you are also part of His bride.
As you prepare to celebrate love this month, remember the greatest love of all. Make room to celebrate the most everlasting, enduring, understanding, forgiving, forebearing, faithful, fair, selfless and gentle love ever.
What will you do for Valentine’s Day to celebrate your romance with God? Well, time to prepare…
